Lima 1605

Last week I was able to purchase this old Lima (lucky Life) 1605 locomotive. In the early years (1962-1964) the Lucky Life brand used exactly the same numbering as Lima. However I can not find item 1605 in any Lima catalogue I've seen so far. Has any of you seen item 1605 before?

I've disassembled the locomotive today to take a close look at the motor. Is this a possible early 60's Lima motor ?

Buonasera Oliviero,effettivamente il codice 1605 non è mai apparso nei codici Lima (Almeno fino ad ora nella mia stesura dei codici produzione Lima non l'ho ancora trovato).
Nel Catalogo 1967 Lima viene presentato l'Art 1604 che sarà effettivamente prodotto successivamente.

Nel Catalogo del1968 Viene presentato l'Art 1606 E69 Db che fino ad ora ho visto nelle varie versioni solo con il tetto argento anche se nella foto del catalogo è palesemente nero.

Penso che L'art 1605 sia stata solo una mossa commerciale,visto che si apprestavano a presentare L'art 1606 E69 Db verde, sapendo che gli Olandesi non "amavano" molto i Tedeschi (soprattutto dopo la II° Guerra Mondiale),hanno fornito loro una versione verde "neutra" con il tetto nero come la foto del catalogo 1968. (Poi si sono dimenticati del codice 1605 per la produzione Lima)

D'altronde per il mercato Olandese era già stata presentata una improbabile loco Art 8021 (Sncf) in versione blu Ns…

Non dico che questa sia la versione esatta ma in linea temporale con la presentazione dei vari modelli potrebbe starci.

This red :Fleischmann" locomotive is also shown in the HEMA catalogue of 1968.


However, in the 1967 HEMA catalogue there is an image of the same locomotive in green.


I also found more information about the 1605 on this German forum: . This "E69 Familie" topic shows 2 pictures of the 1605

From what I read the 1605 was only part of starter sets.
