Repairs to Vintage Rivarossi Models by Andrea Pratesi

I wish to express my thanks to Andrea Pratesi for the brilliant repair work he has done for me, firstly on an old E626 motor that he has rebuilt and rewound the armature, which is a difficult undertaking providing the correct wire diameter and the number of windings. Secondly on an American Atlantic Locomotive sent to be by post from the USA which had been opened by customs and subsequently damaged by someone unknown.
The cowcather and Westinghouse pump has been replaced through Andrea’s help for which I am utterly grateful.

I send this information by way of "Rivarossi - Memory" because there may be other Italian and English modellers whom have a very old damaged model and find it almost impossible to obtain spare parts, well all is not lost, you can be assured that Andrea can work miracles! I am so pleased what he has done for myself. Please incorporate this information in your Maintenance section.

desidero esprimere il mio ringraziamento ad Andrea Pratesi per il brillante lavoro di riparazione che ha fatto per me, prima con un vecchio motore E626 che ha ricostruito, incluso il riavvolgimento dell' indotto, impresa alquanto difficile fornendo il filo di diametro giusto ed il numero di spire. Poi su una loco Atlantic americana [L SP/R] speditami per posta dagli USA che era stata aperta dalla Dogana e conseguentemente danneggiata da qualche sconosciuto.
Lo scacciabuoi e la pompa Westinghouse sono stati sostituiti grazie all' aiuto di Andrea, per la qual cosa gli sono estremamente grato.
Trasmetto questa informazione tramite "Rivarossi - Memory" in quanto possono esservi altri fermodellisti Italiani o Inglesi che hanno di questi vecchissimi modelli danneggiati e trovano quasi impossibile reperire ricambi, ebbene non tutto e' perduto e state certi che Andrea puo' fare miracoli! Io sono quanto mai compiaciuto da quanto ha fatto per me. Vi prego di includere questa segnalazione nella vostra sezione Manutenzioni.

Anche io ho pututo apprezzare e utilizzare i particolari ottimamante ricostruiti da Andrea Pratesi.
I i soffietti sono eccezzionali e in generale tutto è molto ben fatto.
Mi associo nel complimentarmi con Andrea per la sua opera

Lo consiglio a chi ha bisogno di particolari per restaurare i propri pezzi RR e allego il cataloghino con la sua produzione, è dell'anno scorso e probabilmente è da aggiornare.

Non vorrei essere frainteso, non ci interessa fare pubblicità a nessuno, ma come ho più volte scritto ritengo l'opera di Andrea Pratesi molto, molto meritoria e alla luce anche di quanto scrive l'amico Howard credo che quanto realizza Pratesi possa interessare tutti gli appassionati RR.

Hello Howard,

No reason to apologize, after all I fully agree with what you wrote. As I wrote above I believe that to inform about Andrea Pratesi's work is not a commercial activity but it is a mean to help all those modellers who want to restore their old models.
